Tyrol Castle (Schloss Tirol) is one of the most magnificent castle complexes in South Tyrol, located in the village of Dorf Tirol near Merano. The former ancestral seat of the Counts of Tyrol now houses the South Tyrolean Museum of Cultural and Provincial History. Right next to the museum, the castle hill also features a bird of prey rehabilitation center.
