City Trips & Culture (By car)

Merano (approx. 45 mins): This Mediterranean spa town charms visitors with the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the Thermal Baths of Merano, and the historic arcades. Perfect for shopping and strolling under palm trees.

Bolzano (approx. 1 hour): The provincial capital offers Italian flair, the famous Ötzi iceman at the Archaeology Museum, and the colorful fruit market in the heart of the old town.

Innsbruck (approx. 1 hour 45 mins via the Reschen Pass): Visit the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), the Imperial Palace (Hofburg), or the modern Bergisel ski jump in the capital of the Alps.

St. Moritz (approx. 1 hour 15 mins via the Ofen Pass): Experience the exclusive charm of the Swiss Alps. A drive through the Engadin valley is an unforgettable experience for the panorama alone.

Hiking & Nature (Right on your doorstep)

Alpine Pasture Hikes: Malser Haide & Watles: Ideal for families. Take the chairlift to the Plantapatsch hut and continue to the idyllic Pfaffenseen lakes.

Schlinigertal (Schlinig Valley): A hike to the Schliniger Alm (featuring Demeter cheese!) and further on to the famous Uina Gorge.

Planeiltal (Planeil Valley): For those seeking peace and untouched alpine landscapes.

Waalwege (Irrigation Trail Channels) in the Upper Vinschgau:

These historic water channels, such as the Leitenwaal or Berkwaal, offer relaxing walks with almost no incline and breathtaking panoramic views.

Lake Experiences:

Lake Reschen (approx. 15 mins): Famous for the submerged church tower rising from the water – ideal for walking, kitesurfing, or photography.

Haidersee (Lake Haider): A natural gem right next to it, perfect for a leisurely loop walk around the lake.

Curunes in Graun: The new Curunes adventure pool in Graun is an absolute highlight on Lake Reschen, having opened in late 2025. It is modern, spacious, and features a direct view of the famous submerged church tower.
