Cycling & Biking

The Upper Vinschgau Valley is one of the most popular destinations for cyclists in the entire Alpine region.

Here, nature and culture can be explored by bike at all altitudes.

Along the ancient Roman trade route Via Claudia Augusta, road cyclists feel just as at home as mountain bikers and leisure cyclists.

With its scenic contrasts, our holiday region offers highly varied trails for mountain bikers and freeriders. The well-marked paths for all skill levels run along the valley floor, through woods and meadows, up to alpine pastures, and into the high mountains.

For those who want to see and experience more, guided bike tours with experienced professionals are available. The program is diverse: from sunrise tours on the historic Goldseeweg trail to varied peak biking with magnificent panoramic views.

If you prefer not to bring your own bicycle on holiday, you should purchase a bikemobil Card

This combined ticket includes the use of the Vinschgau Valley railway line and all other public transport in South Tyrol. In addition, you can rent a bicycle at rental stations located all across South Tyrol.

From the beginning of April until the end of October, the Bikeshuttle service is active. This shuttle service transports cyclists from their accommodation straight to the starting points of their chosen tours and trails.
